Meet Our New Board Members
Shanon Prum
Shan joined the Board to help strengthen community sport and support the growth of local participation. As both a long‑time sport leader through Blackwood Blaze Inline Hockey Club and an experienced business leader running technology and product design ventures, he brings a practical, people‑focused approach to developing programs, supporting volunteers, and building strong pathways for athletes of all abilities and ages.
Lisa Alexander
For more than two decades, the Blackwood Community Recreation Centre has been a central part of my life — a place where I’ve stayed active and connected. Joining the Board of the Blackwood Community Recreation Association is a logical extension of that long-term connection. I’m passionate about protecting and strengthening this vital community asset, and I’ve been a strong advocate for the Centre, particularly throughout recent lease negotiations.
Professionally, I bring more than 20 years of senior experience in State Government, specialising in marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement and governance across major infrastructure projects, skills and training, as well as policy reforms. My background also includes project management and expertise in web and digital technologies that improve communication with external audiences and streamline internal processes.
As a long‑time user of the Centre, playing netball three times a week and attending the gym regularly, I understand the value it brings to people of all ages, significantly contributing to their health and wellbeing. I’m committed to helping secure the long‑term future of the Blackwood Community Recreation Centre so the next generation can enjoy it just as much as my son and I have over the past 20 years.
Uldis Rudevics
I am interested in coming onto the Board of the Rec Centre as I want to continue in volunteer roles, especially relating to sport and community, and I feel that I have experiences and qualifications that could contribute to the Rec Centre.
Over the last 25 years I’ve held a number of roles in sport, mainly in the sport of wrestling, from club level to International level. At the club level I was a committee member, a president and a secretary. At the state level I was the president of Wrestling SA and at another time I was the Treasurer for the South Australian branch of Australian Commonwealth Games Association. At a National level I was on the Board of Wrestling Australia for a total of eight years, where I, at various times, held the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and CEO, and as well as being the Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk (FAR) committee. I am still on the Oceania Committee of United World Wrestling, the governing body of Olympic Wrestling.
