Creating a Safe, Respectful and Welcoming Centre

At Blackwood Recreation Centre, our policies and procedures help us provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for our members, participants, visitors, volunteers and staff.

Our policies outline the standards we expect from everyone who uses our Centre, as well as the procedures we follow when dealing with safety, complaints, conduct and other important matters.

Constitution

The Constitution sets out the purpose, objectives, membership arrangements, governance structure and rules that guide the operation of Blackwood Community Recreation Association Incorporated.

It is the foundational document that establishes how the Association is governed and how decisions are made.

Sets out the behaviour expected from all members and visitors using our facilities.

Key expectations include:

  • Treat others with courtesy and respect.
  • Follow reasonable directions from Centre staff.
  • Do not engage in abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour.
  • Respect Centre facilities, equipment and property.
  • Allow others to enjoy the Centre without unreasonable disruption.

Complaints & Feedback Policy

Explains how members and visitors can raise concerns and how the Centre responds to complaints.

We encourage members to raise concerns with us so we can investigate them fairly and work towards an appropriate resolution.

Bullying and Harassment Policy

Blackwood Recreation Centre does not tolerate bullying, harassment or discriminatory behaviour.
