 Fitness Studio

The Rec is a supervised Fitness Studio providing weight & cardio training for the whole community.

 

The aim of “The Rec” is to provide a “community” atmosphere where individual members are the focus, where you receive lots of positive encouragement and motivation to achieve your individual goals. If you are looking to lose weight, tone up & feel good - we have the programs to help you. 

Session Times

Winter hours from 17 June 2010

General

Mon, Wed, Fri  8.00am - 8.30pm

Tues & Thurs    6.30am – 8.30pm

Friday              6.30am - 7.00pm

Saturday          8.30am – 1.00pm

Sunday           10.00am – 12.00noon

 

Schoolies

Monday – Friday 3.30pm – 5.00pm

Our instructors are qualified in group and personal training and bring a range of experiences to “The Rec”.

 

The studio will be supervised at all times by our qualified instructors.

 

An individualised exercise program will be developed for you, following your personal assessment

 

We offer a safe, supportive environment within our private air conditioned studio.

 

You are welcome to come along and observe any of our sessions.

 

Membership Types

Full Member - 12, 6 or 3 months - includes initial assessment, first workout, individual program,  access to the studio 7 days per week & reassessment after 3 months.

Spin, Boxercise, Strength & Tone and Combo classes also included in full membership but Yoga & Pilates classes are extra.

 

Cardio & Class Membership - includes initial assessment & re-assessment after 3 months, first workout, individual program, access to all Cardio equipment 7 days a week and all classes.

  • Concession available for students and pensioners

  • Direct Debit facilities available on 12 month memberships

Casual visits available if accompanied by a Fitness Studio member or on presentation of a current membership card from another facility.

 

Schoolies Membership – Yr 8 – 12

Specifically for young people who want to tone up and improve their fitness in a teen friendly environment.  No joining fee and you can pay by the term.

 

Joining “The Rec” will:

  • Improve your flexibility, vitality and general wellbeing.

  • Develop and maintain muscle mass, endurance, and strength.

  • Achieve weight reduction and toning.

 

We recommend that you undertake fitness training two or three times per week.

Spin Bike - Monday 6.15 -7.00pm    

Boxercise - Tuesday 6.30 - 6.45pm

Combo Class - Saturday 9.30 - 10.30am

Strength & Tone (1 hr)                              Monday 9.15am

Wednesday 9.30am

Thursday 6.00pm

Yoga - Tues - 10 - 11.15am

         - Wed - 6.30 - 8pm

Pilates - Wed - 8.30 - 9.30am

           - Sat - 10.30 -11.30am

Lifeball

Team game played at a walking pace with rules aimed at improving balance, strength, flexibility and fitness.                                                                           Ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Ask your fitness instructor or enquire at reception for more details.

Supervised Play Room

 

People attending any of our programs are invited to take advantage of our supervised play room which is provided for pre school age children.

 

The playroom is open:-

Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri

9am – 12 noon

 

Cost:-

$3.00 for 1 child and $2.00 each for extra children.
